This is a short blog, but I wanted to share a few pictures of the first snow.
On Thursday, Sept. 13th, I rode the train to Les Avants, which provides an unobstructed view of the Swiss Alps. This little Swiss village is about a 30 minute train ride north of Vevey and sits at an elevation of 3,280 feet.
Looking south from Les Avants, is the mountain, Rochers de Nays, part of the Swiss Alps. It sits at an elevation of 6,699 feet. As you can see, there is not a lot of snow, but it is the first of the season.
Another shot of Rochers de Naye.
These next three pictures were taking looking east towards the Alps.
These next two pictures were taking looking south, with Lake Geneva in the fore ground.
